The plainest pizza in the Ristorante range, and the one that shows the base most clearly. Mozzarella, cherry tomatoes and dollops of pesto sit on the signature passata sauce. Pesto is the detail separating this from a supermarket margherita. It arrives in dollops rather than spread, so the basil and oil concentrate in spots instead of coating everything, and it gives the pizza a savoury note that a plain cheese pizza doesn't have. Ristorante bases are made thin enough to crisp rather than puff, which is the whole proposition of the range. With this little on top, there's nowhere for a soft base to hide.
