Round sweet biscuits meet a layer of white icing and a scatter of hundreds and thousands on one side, with a plain, crisp biscuit underneath. They’re sold under Aldi’s Belmont label, in the same budget-biscuit lane as its iced and plain tea-time biscuits, but the look here is doing most of the work. Bite in and you get a firm snap, then the icing and sprinkles add a bit of crunch and extra sugar. They’re the sort of biscuit that turns up in mixed tins, birthday spreads, and lunchbox stacks, where the colour is as much part of the format as the flavour.
