Wholemeal digestive biscuits coated on one side with milk chocolate, these come in the familiar round, ridged format and split neatly between a crumbly, oat-y biscuit and a smooth chocolate layer. They’re sold as part of Aldi’s Belmont range, which also covers plain digestives and other everyday biscuits. Like most chocolate-coated digestives, they’re built for dunking, though the chocolate can soften if they sit in tea too long. The biscuit base is baked first, then coated on one face only, so you get one dry, malty side and one sweet, creamy side in each bite.
