Whole almonds run through a 200g block of dark chocolate in this Aldi Choceur range snack. Each square snaps cleanly, with the chocolate setting hard around the nuts, so you get a crisp break before the almonds start to bite back. Compared with the milk chocolate nut blocks in the same range, this one leans darker and less sweet, with the almonds adding crunch and a bit of roasted bitterness. It's a simple format, really, just chocolate, almonds and the contrast between them. Because the dark chocolate has a higher cocoa percentage, it holds together more firmly at room temperature and doesn't soften in the hand as fast as milk chocolate versions do.
