Whole roasted hazelnuts run through a 200g block of dark chocolate, with the nuts sitting in neat clusters rather than a smooth praline centre. Compared with Aldi’s milk hazelnut version, this one uses darker cocoa, so the chocolate tastes more bitter and less sweet, while the roasted hazelnuts bring their own sweetness and crunch. It’s a simple block format, meant for breaking into squares and eating as is, or alongside coffee. The texture is mostly firm chocolate with intermittent knobbly bites from the nuts, which gives each piece a bit more contrast than a plain dark block.
