Cherry Ripe

What is it?

Chocolate-coated cherry and coconut filling sits in a bar that's been made in Australia since 1924. Inside, there's sweetened cherry pieces through a coconut centre, all covered in dark chocolate. Texture is chewy and a bit sticky, with the chocolate adding a firm snap. Unlike most bars in the range, it doesn't use caramel, nougat or biscuit. Flavour combo is just cherry, coconut and dark chocolate, which is why it stands apart in the lineup and in mixed packs like Favourites. It's one of the oldest chocolate bars in the country, and that three-ingredient formula hasn't needed much changing in the century since it first appeared.
