CC's are corn chips rather than potato chips, made from maize and cut into triangles, which puts them in a different part of the aisle to most of what sits beside them. Original is plain salted, and that's deliberate given what the pack is aimed at. The bag carries a nachos flash, and an unseasoned corn chip is the one that works as a base for toppings, where a flavoured one would compete with whatever goes on top of it. Corn gives a firmer, more brittle chip than potato, sturdy enough to hold weight without snapping in the dip. Marked gluten free and suitable for vegans, sold in 175g bags.
