Chicken-flavoured chips are far more common in Australia and the UK than in North America, and the flavour is savoury and faintly herbal rather than tasting much like roast chicken. The seasoning does its work through salt and yeast-derived savoury notes, which is where the meaty depth comes from without any of the fat or browning that actual roast chicken flavour depends on. It suits the Thins cut well, since a light seasoning spreads more evenly across a thin chip than it manages on a thicker one. Chicken is also one of the few chip flavours with no obvious dish behind it, which leaves the seasoning free to be savoury without answering to anything in particular. Made in Australia and sold in 175g bags.
