What is it?

Fruit Sticks are built on fruit juice rather than flavouring, and sold twelve to a box. Forest fruits is a European term rather than a British one, covering the dark berries that grow wild in woodland: blackberry, blackcurrant, raspberry and often blueberry. It's a blend rather than a single fruit, which is what allows the flavour to stay consistent when any one berry's season doesn't. More dissolved solids lower the freezing point, so a juice lolly stays slightly softer than a plain water ice at the same freezer temperature rather than setting into a solid block. Dark berries also hold their colour when frozen far better than red ones, which is why a forest fruit lolly stays purple where a strawberry fades.
