The rocket has been in production for decades, and the layered flavours are part of the design rather than a coincidence. Pineapple, orange and strawberry are stacked so each section is a different colour, which is the entire visual point. Moulding three separate layers into one lolly takes more work than a single pour, which is a fair part of why the shape has stayed distinctive for as long as it has. Eight to a pack, and the flavours are mild enough that the colours do more of the identifying than the taste does. The three colours are moulded in sequence rather than poured together, which is what keeps the bands distinct rather than bleeding into one another.
