Toffee and vanilla is the pairing that shows up in the oval tubs more than any other, and it works because the two are close relatives rather than opposites. Toffee is sugar cooked with butter until it browns, so it brings a caramelised note and a faint salt edge to a base that's otherwise sweet and mild. Running it through vanilla rather than replacing the vanilla keeps the tub scoopable as one thing instead of two. The 900ml oval is Gianni's family format, wide and shallow so a scoop can be drawn across it. This is the middle option in that range, between the plain Creamy Vanilla and the Triple Chocolate.
