A fruit lolly built on British raspberries, which is a shorter season and a sharper berry than the imported fruit that fills most of the year. Raspberry loses less to freezing than almost any other soft fruit. Its acidity and its colour both survive intact, where strawberry fades on both counts, and that's why raspberry appears in frozen desserts far more often than its share of the fresh fruit aisle would suggest. Four to a pack rather than the six or twelve the Gianni's lollies come in, which is the usual signal that a lolly is aimed at adults rather than at a lunchbox.
