The salt is named on the pack, which is unusual, and Cornish sea salt is harvested by evaporating seawater rather than mined from rock. That gives flakes rather than cubes, and a flake dissolves faster into a mix, which is part of why sea salt is used in something blended rather than sprinkled. Salted caramel works because salt does two things at once: it suppresses bitterness and it sharpens sweetness. A caramel dark enough to be interesting is usually a little bitter, and salt turns that into depth. The pack calls it silky and sweet. At 480ml this is the Finest tub format, smaller than the 900ml standard tubs and sized closer to a single sitting.
