McDonald's Mini Hash Browns shrink the standard breakfast hash brown down to bites and sell them fifteen at a time in a Sharebox. The recipe follows the full-size version, crisp outside with soft, fluffy potato inside, but the smaller shape tips the ratio towards crust. They first turned up on UK menus in October 2024 and vanished later the same year, which is the part customers kept writing in about. They returned on 25 August 2026, with McDonald's describing the comeback as a response to demand rather than a new idea. The Sharebox is the real change. A single hash brown is an add-on to one order, whereas fifteen of them is a table item, closer to how the chain sells McNuggets than to how it sells breakfast sides. Availability follows the breakfast menu, so they stop at 11am, and McDonald's hasn't said how long this run lasts.
