The base is the surprise here. Not vanilla, but cookie milk, which is built to taste of the milk left in the bowl after cookies have been dunked in it. That's a much stranger idea than the flavor name suggests and it's the reason this doesn't simply repeat the standard cookie dough pint. The dough runs as a solid core down the center, not as gobs through the tub. A core keeps the dough away from the ice cream surrounding it, so it stays soft instead of firming up, which is the practical argument for the format over folding it through. Fudge chips are the only thing scattered, and they're small enough to disappear into a spoonful rather than needing to be bitten.
