Two ice creams and a caramel core, with the chocolate and caramel sitting side by side rather than swirled together, so the pint is divided before a spoon goes near it. The core is the hard part, because the two things in this pint want opposite conditions. The ice cream has to set firm and the caramel column running through it has to stay soft, at the same temperature, touching along their whole length. The name is the sort of pun the brand has never grown out of, and it's been in the range long enough that it no longer reads as a joke.
