What is it?

Five inclusions on one subtitle, which makes it the most crowded pint in the range and the one that's hardest to describe in a sentence. White and dark fudge chunks, pecans, walnuts and fudge-covered almonds, all in a chocolate base. The three nuts are picked for contrast rather than volume. Pecan is soft and sweet, walnut brings tannic bitterness, and almond is the hardest of the three and gets a fudge coating that keeps it dry. Between them they cover most of what a nut can do in ice cream. Having both white and dark fudge is the detail that separates it from a plain chocolate chunk pint. White fudge carries no cocoa solids, so it reads sweeter and shows up against a dark base, and the two chunks are as much a visual decision as a flavor one. It dates to 1985, and the name is a nod to where the founders grew up as much as a pitch at the market they wanted next.
