Deep-fried macaroni and cheese sticks shaped like oversized Cheetos, these bites are coated in Cheetos seasoning and fried until the outside turns crisp and orange. Inside, the filling stays soft and molten, closer to boxed mac and cheese than a thick croquette. A Frito-Lay collaboration, they first appeared at Burger King in 2016, came back in 2017, and later spun off into a Flamin' Hot version with spicier seasoning. Compared with Burger King’s fries-and-nuggets side items, these lean much harder into snack-food mashup territory.
