Wednesday's Whopper

What is it?

Purple potato gives the bun its color here, dotted with black sesame seeds as part of Burger King's 2024 Wednesday collaboration. Inside, it's the usual stack: flame-grilled beef patty, tomatoes, lettuce, mayonnaise, ketchup, pickles, and sliced onions. The bun gets its hue from purple potato rather than artificial dye, which gives the sandwich a distinctly different look from the standard Whopper. It showed up alongside themed items like onion rings, churro fries, and a chocolate shake, but the formula here stayed close to Burger King's core burger, just with a different bun and a bit of black sesame on top.
