The Mac-Loaded Slider spent almost a decade off the menu board. Early Dave's Hot Chicken customers ordered a slider with mac and cheese on top and called it the Big Shot, the request stayed in circulation by word of mouth, and videos of it eventually ran up millions of views on TikTok and Instagram. Dave's made it official on August 28, 2026. The build is the standard slider with one addition. A fried chicken thigh sits on a Martin's potato roll with pickles and Dave's sauce, and the chain's elbow macaroni in cheese sauce goes over the top. Spice levels still apply, running from No Spice through Reaper, so the dairy either takes the edge off the heat or disappears under it depending on the choice. Mac and cheese was already on the menu as a side, which is what made the hack easy to order in the first place. Putting it inside the sandwich mostly changes how it's eaten. A limited-time item.
