Bagel with Cream Cheese

What is it?

Toasted and split, the bagel arrives with a thick layer of cream cheese, one of the longest-running bakery items on the menu. Bagels here are usually softer and more bread-like than the denser style from a deli, and they come in plain, everything, sesame, and cinnamon raisin, depending on location. Plain cream cheese is the default, though flavored versions show up in some stores. Warm from the toaster, the cream cheese softens slightly at the surface. Compared with other bakery items in the lineup, it's one of the simplest builds, with the bagel doing most of the work and the cream cheese adding the main contrast in texture.
