Thick slices of grilled ciabatta replace the standard bun on these Jack in the Box burgers. Chewy, open crumb and a browned exterior give the bread a different feel, so it handles sauces and toppings differently than a soft sesame roll. Across the lineup, the ciabatta format showed up on different burger builds, all using the same bread-forward setup. Compared with the rest of Jack in the Box's burger menu, these leaned on the bread as the main change rather than a new patty style. Resulting sandwich format sits closer to a deli-style burger than the chain's usual bun-based offerings, with the ciabatta providing more chew and structure.
