The Monster Taco

What is it?

Built as a larger take on Jack in the Box’s regular taco, this fast food item uses a flour tortilla shell that’s fried until crisp, then filled with seasoned beef, shredded lettuce, cheddar cheese, and taco sauce. Compared with the chain’s smaller tacos, it simply gives you more of the same components in one hand-held package. Jack in the Box has long kept its tacos in a category of their own, and this version follows that same formula. The shell is the main structural change, with a bigger surface area to hold the beef and toppings, while the filling stays close to the standard lineup.
