Layered desserts served in small bucket-shaped cups, these KFC parfaits came in chocolate, lemon, and strawberry versions. The chocolate one stacked cake crumbles with chocolate mousse and whipped cream. Lemon paired curd with vanilla mousse, while strawberry shortcake mixed cake pieces, strawberry filling, and whipped cream. Each cup was assembled as a separate dessert, so the layers stayed distinct instead of blending together. Compared with the rest of KFC’s dessert lineup, these were more like a spoonable sundae than a baked pastry, with the bucket-shaped container doing a lot of the visual work.
