One-third pound of Angus beef anchors this discontinued McDonald's burger line, served on a bun and built in three versions: Deluxe, Bacon & Cheese, and Mushroom & Swiss. The Deluxe stacks lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles, mayo, mustard, and ketchup. Bacon & Cheese adds thick-cut bacon and American cheese, while Mushroom & Swiss swaps in sauteed mushrooms and melted Swiss. Compared with the chain's standard burgers, the larger patty changed the balance of the sandwich and took longer to cook, which is part of why the line moved through kitchens more slowly. McDonald's introduced it nationally in 2009 and pulled it in 2013.
