Bacon Egg & Cheese Biscuit

What is it?

Applewood-smoked bacon, a folded egg, and a slice of American cheese fill a warm buttermilk biscuit here. Flaky and a little crumbly, the biscuit has a soft interior that picks up some of the egg and cheese as it sits. McDonald's uses its standard folded-egg format, so the egg is more uniform than a round fresh-cracked one. Compared with the chain's English muffin breakfast sandwiches, this version leans softer and more absorbent, and it shows up more often in McDonald's biscuit-focused breakfast markets, especially in the South. Butter and salt from the biscuit round out the bacon's smokiness.
