Caramel Sundae

What is it?

Vanilla soft-serve from McDonald's ice cream machine forms the base here, topped with warm caramel sauce that runs down the sides of the cup. Mild vanilla flavor and a light, smooth texture make the soft-serve the same one used in the chain's cones and fudge sundae. Compared with other items in McDonald's dessert lineup, it keeps things simple: no mix-ins, no cookie pieces, just soft-serve and sauce in a clear plastic cup. Caramel is poured over the top so it pools in the center and streaks down. Like all the chain's soft-serve desserts, it's usually served straight from the machine.
