What is it?

Toasted Texas Toast replaces the standard bun here, holding a beef patty with grilled onions, American cheese, white pepper jack, and creamy pepper sauce. Grilled until golden and buttery, the bread eats more like a diner-style sandwich than a regular fast-food burger. Compared with the chain's bun-based burgers, this one leans on flat, toasted bread and sweet, softened onions. Both cheeses melt into the onions and beef, while the pepper sauce adds a little heat without changing the basic setup. Within Whataburger's lineup, it's the only burger built around Texas Toast rather than a sesame or plain bun.
