Adobo Chicken

What is it?

Vinegar, soy sauce, garlic, bay leaf, and black pepper form the backbone of a Filipino-style adobo sauce in a frozen rice bowl. The sauce is thin and sharp rather than creamy, so it runs into the rice instead of sitting on top of it. Compared with other frozen meals from the same brand, it leans more savory and tangy than spicy, and it skips the richer coconut or curry bases found in some of the lineup. Microwave or heat it from frozen according to the package directions, then stir once so the sauce coats the rice evenly.
