A 16-ounce frozen risotto imported from Italy, built from parcooked rice, cream, sliced mushrooms, onion, garlic, and porcini mushroom seasoning. The rice is cooked partway before freezing, so it can reheat to a looser, creamier texture instead of tightening up like plain rice. Sliced mushrooms add bits of chew, while the porcini seasoning brings a deeper, earthier mushroom note. Trader Joe’s keeps this in the frozen meals case, apart from its many quick stir-ins and heat-and-eat sides.
