What is it?

Thicker than a regular ripple chip, these kettle-cooked potato chips lean on green jalapeño seasoning for a peppery bite and a firmer crunch. Fried in small batches, the slices come out hard, ridged, and a little uneven, with darker edges where the starch browns. Herr's uses the same kettle-cooked format for a few other flavors, but here the spice is the point. You get potato, vegetable oil, salt, and jalapeño pepper seasoning, with onion and garlic showing up in the background.
