A discontinued Lay’s potato chip, this flavor was built around pico de gallo, the uncooked salsa of diced tomato, onion, cilantro, jalapeño, and lime. The seasoning aimed for a fresh, salsa-like profile rather than a cooked, smoky one, so the tomato and lime notes did most of the work. Compared with other Lay’s flavors, it sat closer to a chip dusted with salsa fresca than to the brand’s heavier barbecue or sour cream styles. Cilantro gave it that herbal edge, while jalapeño stayed in the background. It’s no longer in regular production.
