Frosty Fruits is the fruit ice Australians measure others against, and the juice content is why. Reconstituted fruit juice leads the ingredient list at 39%, a blend of pineapple, orange and passionfruit, ahead of water and well ahead of sugar. That's a long way above most fruit-flavoured ice blocks, including Peters' own twin poles, which carry no juice at all. It's the difference between a fruit ice and a flavoured water ice, and it shows in texture as much as taste, since juice at that concentration freezes softer and less glassy. Passionfruit is what makes the blend recognisable. Pineapple and orange are both sweet and rounded, and the passionfruit supplies the sharp, slightly floral edge over the top of them.
