Life Savers as an ice block, carrying the five flavours the confectionery is built on: blackcurrant, orange, lime, raspberry and pineapple. The colours are the interesting part of the ingredient list. Elderberry juice concentrate and spirulina concentrate are both in there, alongside colours 160a, 141, 162 and 163, which are beta-carotene, chlorophyll, beetroot red and anthocyanins. That's five distinct colours drawn almost entirely from plant sources, which a five-flavour product needs if the sections are going to look different from one another.
