The only flavour in the Light & Creamy range with fruit in it, and the ripple format suits a reduced fat base better than folding would. Reconstituted low fat milk sits at 59%, slightly lower than the plain vanilla flavours in the line, with reconstituted raspberry juice making up the sauce. A ripple concentrates the fruit into bands rather than diluting it evenly through the tub, which matters when the base carries less fat to hold onto flavour. Fat is what normally lengthens flavour in ice cream, so reduced fat products tend to taste thinner and finish faster. Fruit acidity is one of the few things that still reads clearly regardless of that, which is why raspberry is the flavour that works here.
