Part of Peters' Ice Cream For Every Body range, which gathers the products built around a dietary restriction rather than a flavour. This one leaves out added sugar. Sorbitol and polydextrose take its place, listed third and fourth after skim milk and water. Both are doing more than sweetening. Sugar gives ice cream its body and stops it setting into a solid block, so anything replacing it has to replicate that bulk as well as the taste, and polydextrose in particular is there for structure. Cream is in the recipe rather than vegetable oil, which isn't always the case in this part of the freezer. The flavour is plain vanilla with nothing folded through it.
