Original Banana Split

What is it?

The banana split is a sundae, three scoops in a row with a split banana underneath, and this tub compresses the idea into one product. Chocolate, banana and vanilla run together with choc flakes through them. Banana is the flavour that decides whether this works. It's the one people either want or actively avoid in ice cream, and here it sits between two flavours that are far more neutral, so it ends up carrying the tub. Cocoa solids are listed at 1%, covering both the chocolate portion and the flakes. Like the rest of the Peters Original two litre range it's built on reconstituted skim milk rather than cream, which keeps it soft enough to scoop straight from the freezer.
