A spider is what Australians call a soft drink with ice cream dropped into it, and cola with vanilla is the version most people grew up on. This is that combination frozen onto a twin pole. The twin pole is the format the name refers to: one pole on two sticks that snaps down the middle into halves. It's been a fixture of Australian freezers for decades, and the splitting is as much the appeal as the flavour.
