A toasted English muffin holding a beef sausage patty, free-range egg, cheese, shredded lettuce, sliced tomato and McChicken sauce. The Sausage & Egg McMuffin is one of the longest-serving items on the Australian breakfast menu, and this is the first time it has been dressed with salad. The sausage patty is the same seasoned beef round as always. What changes is everything around it: the McChicken sauce adds a peppery creaminess, and the lettuce and tomato cut through what is otherwise a rich, savoury stack.
