

Two quarter pound beef patties with cheese, rasher bacon, crispy onions, pickles and house-grilled BBQ sauce on a quarter bun. That is half a pound of beef before anything else goes on. The double follows the same logic as the Double Quarter Pounder that already sits on the permanent menu: same toppings as the single, twice the meat. With the BBQ sauce and bacon in play it becomes one of the heavier burgers McDonald's Australia sells, and the crispy onions have more competition from the beef than they do in the single.
