McDonald’s recurring Australian and New Zealand LTO built around a beef patty, salsa, sour cream, shredded lettuce, tomato, cheese and crushed tortilla chips on a sesame seed bun. The chips bring the main crunch, while the salsa adds gentle heat and the sour cream cools it back down. It sits apart from most of Macca’s regular burgers because the tortilla chips and salsa push it closer to a fast-food taco-burger hybrid. Compared with the rest of the McDonald’s lineup, it’s one of the few items that leans into Mexican-style flavours rather than the usual burger formula.
