Hot water and a tea bag, that's all that's in the cup. Served plain through McCafe, it's a calorie-free drink with no milk, sugar or syrup, just steeped tea and water. Flavour is light, grassy and a touch astringent, depending on how long the bag sits in the cup. Compared with the rest of McDonald's drink range, it's the bare-bones option, sitting well outside the espresso-based coffees, iced drinks and hot chocolates. You can add sugar or honey if you want sweetness, but it comes plain by default. It's one of the cheapest items on the menu and the only caffeine option that doesn't involve coffee or chocolate. Expect a simple, clean cup without any frills.
