What is it?

Chocolate sauce is blended with cold milk and ice, then finished with a swirl of cream. It's served as a chilled, caffeine-free drink from the McCafe menu, using the same basic idea as hot chocolate but in cold form. Texture sits somewhere between a milkshake and a poured drink, with the ice keeping it loose rather than thick. McDonald's also does coffee-based iced drinks, but this one skips the coffee entirely and leans on cocoa and dairy instead. It's sweeter and simpler than the frappe range, aimed more at kids and chocolate fans than anyone chasing a caffeine hit. Served in the standard McCafe cup with a straw, it drinks fast on a warm day.
