Espresso, chocolate sauce and cold milk are poured over ice, then usually topped with whipped cream. It’s a chilled mocha drink from McCafé in Australia, built on the same coffee-and-chocolate base as the hot version, but served cold. The ice keeps it lighter in texture, while the chocolate sauce gives it a thicker, sweeter body than plain iced coffee. Compared with other McCafé drinks, it sits closer to dessert territory than a straight coffee, with milk smoothing out the espresso and cream adding another layer on top.
