Macca’s thin-cut fries form the base here, served in a cardboard boat and topped with sauces, cheese, bacon, guacamole, or other rotating add-ons depending on the variant. Built as a limited range around 2018, it turned the standard chips into a more loaded side or snack, with each version using the same fries and changing only the toppings. Compared with plain fries or a separate sauce, the structure is the same, but the presentation shifts to something closer to a shareable snack. It sat in the McDonald’s Australia lineup alongside other chip-based sides, then came and went in different flavour combinations through 2021.
