One beef patty, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles and onions sit in a standard sesame seed bun, with no middle bun layer. Compared with the regular Big Mac, it trims back to a single patty and a smaller overall size, so the sauce and toppings sit closer to the bun and each bite feels more compact. In McDonald's Mac Family range in Australia, it sat alongside larger format versions like the Grand Big Mac. The result is essentially the same flavour set as the full-size burger, just in a lighter, smaller format that's easier to finish in one sitting without unbuckling anything.
