The UK's entry in the May 2026 International Menu Heist promotion, the Philly Cheese Stack is McDonald's take on the flavours of a Philadelphia cheesesteak, rebuilt as a burger. Where a true cheesesteak uses shaved ribeye, this leans on the double onion treatment and triple cheese hit to get there. In Britain it has become a cult favourite that returns most winters to genuine fanfare. Its Australian run gave locals a taste of why UK customers keep campaigning for it.
