A quarter pound beef patty with cheese, rasher bacon, crispy onion pieces, pickles and a house-grilled BBQ sauce on a toasted quarter bun. This is the Quarter Pounder formula pushed in a smokehouse direction. The standard build's onions, ketchup and mustard are swapped for BBQ sauce and fried onions, with bacon added on top. The crispy onions are the texture play, giving the burger a crunch the regular Quarter Pounder never had. McDonald's Australia has run BBQ and bacon variants of its Angus range before, but applying the treatment to the Quarter Pounder came with the 2026 featured menu, in single and double form.
