Built on a fried chicken breast fillet, this sandwich stacks pepper jack cheese, sliced jalapeños, and chipotle sauce on a ciabatta bun. Wendy’s used the same spicy chicken base found in its other spicy sandwiches, then pushed the heat further with extra layers of dairy, peppers, and smoke from the sauce. Compared with the standard Spicy Chicken Sandwich, this version swapped the usual bun for ciabatta, which gave it a firmer, chewier structure. It was sold as part of Wendy’s sandwich lineup in the mid-2000s and sat in the same general family as the chain’s other chicken sandwiches, just with more ingredients aimed at heat.
